Out of curiosity, is there any Ancient Greek re-enactment groups in Ireland?

None yet; there are a few Roman groups, and some early bronze age groups. No greek in particular though. That said, I'd love to give a go at fighting in a hoplite phalanx.

You're certainly naked often enough at reenactment gigs to belong in a greek unit.
Mind you, your nakedness is mostly in the evening, after much of your homemade moonshine.

(I have seen waaay too much of John for anyone's comfort)

"The Kaiser knows the Munsters,
by the Shamrock on their caps,
And the famous Bengal Tiger, ever ready for a scrap,
And all his big battalions, Prussian Guards and grenadiers,
Fear to face the flashing bayonets of the Munster Fusiliers."
