The VIIIIth legion

Has anyone heard anthing about the 2 new movies about the 9th legion they are due out soon

I thought it was more accurate to write it as IX ?

That's Rosemary Sutcliff's book. It's a children's book so it should suit you right down to the ground :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Seriously though, it's amazing what's labelled as a children's book. For instance, all of Peter Connelly's books are classed as such :roll: :roll: :roll:

well my Dad brought a irish daly mail home durining the week (which i cant find right now) and there was wright-up about a new movie in Scotland about the IX Hispaina Dissapering in 122AD. That is how i heard about it .

I thought that the disappearance of the IXth was disputed as to where exactly it happened? i.e. Germany Vs Scotland Vs disbanded due to mutiny...
Of course this is based on web search stuff

Pullo is of course correct in his use of VIIII. The use of IX is much later. As for the ninth, well they were a very unfortunate legion. I think you'll find Syria is probably where they disappeared.
