Postby soutreb on Tue Mar 17, 2009 6:05 pm

On behalf of The Pards Mess, I would like to take this opportunity to THANK WHOLEHEARTEDLY AND UNRESERVEDLY ALL that helped make today's event a huge success.
There were some 14 different groups represented, with over 80 re-enactors in the parade.
Once again,
THANK YOU, EACH AND EVERYONE.

For & On Behalf of The Pards Mess
God Bless Dixie,
Soutreb.

I must say thank you to Dave Levins for inviting us down. We had a wonderful day, everybody was in excellent form and to top it all off the weather really made it even better.

Many thanks.......... Jude

I'd like to add some piccy's but there's a limit to the file size that can be uploaded and my pictures are all too big ( whats up with that Mr. Moderator)so I'l just add a link instead.

Hmm one of the Mr. Moderators would say make 'em smaller :D file size is restricted as many members are on dial-up and the large photo's make browsing threads with them on a slow and painful process.

"The Kaiser knows the Munsters,
by the Shamrock on their caps,
And the famous Bengal Tiger, ever ready for a scrap,
And all his big battalions, Prussian Guards and grenadiers,
Fear to face the flashing bayonets of the Munster Fusiliers."

Hey Guys,

Just to say many thanks to all who joined us in Cork this past St. Paddy's Day for the parade. :D
As the organizing group I have to say that things when pretty smoothly overall and the large turn out was great, we did alot of good in highlighting the hobby on the day and the Lord Mayor is now a fan! ;) Can only be good!

The Pards Mess is honoured to call you all friends and we look forward to our next event together. 8-)

To the moderator, we can't sign into our account as The Pards? Advice please.
