Cavan show

Postby museumtom on Sun Feb 08, 2009 11:18 am

From what I gather the Limerick meeting was a coming together of like minded people in the betterance of re-enactment and living history. It seems to have been agreed that we should all support each other in any way possible. Yesterday the MVCI says "It is with regret that I have to inform all members that the MVCI will not be comitting to the
Cavan Show 2009. This is due to a lack of funds and failure to secure sponsorship".
You guys supported me when I asked for it. I will be there to support the Cavan show, Perhaps individuals will support each other if Clubs are not able to for whatever reason.
Regards.

Hello Tony.
I am not sure who is running the show, perhaps someone might let us know?
Bringing the primus is a great idea and a hottie wattie bottie in yer double sleeping bag. It was 4 deg below last year. We had to skull down a lot of medicinal tinture to keep out the cold. We will be heading down on the Friday to hit there just before dark. Remember that the nearer the border you get the dearer the petrol gets. I thought it was the other way round. Check here for the cheapest petrol on your journey before you start;
