European Historical Combat Guild (Leeds) - on Telly!

Postby Sekhemet on Wed Jan 07, 2009 9:43 pm

The European Historical Combat Guild's Leeds Chapter was on local telly recently!

About time too! They've been round since 2001!!!!

Haven't been to EHCG / KDF for ages since helping my partner with his new chapter of Schola Gladiatoria in Bradford, but they're great guys!

Enjoy!

I see Dan's had a 'fight with the lawnmower' since I've seen him last! Nice clip, thanks for posting!

You beat me to it  I'm off to train with the Leeds guys at the end of Feb and am really looking forward to it. It will give me a chance to brush the dust off my Del Tin, and get in some quality training :D

Nice to see that. I've not seen much of what you lads do. Some of it looks like Jian with the sticking sword stuff. I'd be well into that if it was nearer to home. I couldn't get into long distance learning at this point.

You can't go wrong there with the fantastic Leeds Royal Armouries. Most distracting from the EHCG point of view but sure everyone needs a break from the auld footwork now and again! Last time I was there was a few years back for an international military archaeology seminar. The Armouries took us on a backstage tour - b'jayzus the eyes would be poppin' out of your head!! Serious material. Hope you have a few good old sparres over there. Must pop over to the lads myself sometime, it's been a while...

Hi Dave :D

Yes its been a couple of years for me too, They are going to bring out some toys for us to play with from both the displays and behind the scenes so I can't wait. I want to get over again this year some time, we'll have to get together and share costs for the next one.

Yes Paul that could well be a possibility. I'm a bit tied up for the first two-thirds of '08, but certainly the Autumn could be a good time for me and I am definitely in need of a recap in terms of training. Let's see how the season pans out.

Have a good trip!
