This looks pretty cool;

This will be the 6th annual FightCamp run by Schola Gladiatoria.

The event will run for 3 days from 24 to 26 July 2009.

FightCamp involves learning about historical European martial arts during the day and relaxing in the evening with drinks and a campfire. Most attendees will camp and stay on site.

2008's event saw over 120 attendees and over 20 top HEMA instructors from across the UK and Europe.

There will be formal classes, workshops, presentations and the chance to go and work in small groups with whoever you choose. FightCamp brings in some of the leading HEMA instructors from across the UK and Europe. There is also space for freeplay/sparring at all times.

Is anyone going? The venue is near Solihull in the UK, right? Could be combined with a Land Rover pilgrimage :roll: :lol:

I'm pretty sure myself and Brendan are. I'm giving a workshop on spear-fighting.

Gah! Change of date may cause me to cancel...I need to decide how much I am willing to insult my extended family (Family event that weekend I think). Ponder.

p.s Dijon 2009 is also open for booking, though Paul and I can't make it this year - we ARE going to Fight Camp 2009 though!
