new film about reenactment group

Postby rommel on Thu Sep 11, 2008 8:45 am

there is a new film out in september called Faintheart .. its a story about reenactors and all the madness that goes with it , set in scotland i think , it folows the exploit of a reenactment group and how ones mans life evolves around it , pricelessly funny and something most should be able to relate to . its involves a medieval group and the leader is a complete nut case but a funny charachter

Saw the u-tube piece last week. Always thought a film about a re-enactment group would be a hit. God knows we get up to enough to provide the material. A group in Wales did a short film a couple of years ago, but more life 'the Holy Grail' type movie than something based on real life.

We can't watch that, it's about hippies!

Wonder were they thorn between doing the Vikings or the Civil War lot at all?
Suppose the CW lot got theirs when that dreadful Coronation Street skit was done a few years back. :?

No doubt we'll see some obvious character profiles we can put our own names to :P

We used to call each other horrible things in training to desensitise ourselves to being set off on the field by a stray comment, so hippie doesn't even register.

Some of us only take our hobby seriously, not ourselves.
