Ballincollig Patrick Day Parade

Postby ballinc1 on Sat Feb 26, 2011 11:10 am

Ballincollig is hosting its second Patrick Day Parade next month which promises to be a lively affair. Ballincollig Heritage Association invites any re-enactors who don't want to brave the crowds in Cork city to join our own small group, wearing either military gear from 1798 onwards or medieval costume. This relates to our three great historic sites in the town: Ballincollig Castle C15 and the Royal Gunpowder Mills (1795-1903) and Military Barracks (1810-1922, 1944-98) Any interested parties can contact me on jenny.webb@iol.ie or via our website www.ballincolligheritage.org :)
