Leopardstown Hospital Reenactors & Military Vehicles Show

Postby jenny102 on Sun Feb 06, 2011 7:08 pm

The Leopardstown Park Hospital fund raising committee are pleased to announce a Reenactors and Military Vehicles Show, to be held in our hospital grounds at Leopardstown Road, Foxrock, Dublin 18.

It will be held on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th June, 2011 in the hospital grounds. The aim of the show is to raise much needed funds for the WW11 verterans still resident here.

After the success of last year's event we are once again enlisting the help of the following:-

Mr. Ken Blair 087 6872389

Ms. Jennifer Kelly 086 9294442
(stalls) secretary@imvg.org

We are hoping it will be a bigger and better event than last years and look forward to seeing you all there

I would tripped over myself to attend this gig as it is one that I really would like to support. A great location!,a great cause!, a great charity!, but, dammit, It clashes with Duncannon , which I/we ( there is no 'we' by the way) have already committed to. Rats!!! I missed it last year for the same feckin' reason. If it were on another date I/we (there still is no 'we') would crawl hands and knees over broken glass to support ye. Feck it anyway, sometimes life can be so unfair.
Best wishes.
Tom.

Leopardstown Park Hospital Fund Raising Committee have just informed us that they will not be going ahead with their show scheduled for June 4th and 5th this year.

The IMVG would like stress that this decision has been made by the Hospital Board due to internal staffing difficulties and changes of management personnel.

The Irish Military Vehicles Group wishes to express their utter disappointment at this decision and would like to take this opportunity to apologise to all clubs, re-enactors and stallholders that had already committed to attending this show.

They have asked for our help and support in 2012 as it is their intention to hold this event again next year.

If you need any clarification or information on the above please contact Ken @ 087 6872389 or kenblairikf@eircom.net
