Waterford War Dead book launch

Postby museumtom on Sat Feb 05, 2011 1:49 pm

The launch went ahead yesterday evening in the library in Dungarvan. It was supposed to happen in December but the snow had other ideas.
Many thanks to Emmet Kennedy who organised everything. Thank you also,Doc, Rob, Terry, Mark Hayden, and all the other re-enactors who gave up their valuable time and traveled so far to support me. As usual, everything went with military precision and all went home alive, which is always a bonus. It was the first time a vickers machine gun on a tripod and the lads in ww1 unirofrms and weapons held the centre space of the library.
This is our time lads, we show them that history can be fun.
Many thanks again to all concerned, I could not have done it without your support.
Kindest regards.
