It's that time of year again folks!!...and a very special one.. This will be the
10th Anniversary of the Leitrim Training Wkd hosted by Faol Lia - Teach.. Fran & Nicky!
Back in 2000-October was down time season in re-enactment and in many ways still is. We saw this as the perfect opportunity to gather re-enactors together for a weekend of training, craft work, brainstorming, good food and above all fun!
It was to open doors for new re-enactors to meet people, share ideas and minimise the utter fear of meeting this big hairy bunch on the battle field for the first time the following season.
It has brought old friends together, new ones who are now old ;) and for 9 years has served its initial purpose!

22nd Oct - 25th Oct 2010
Training commences at *Midday* Saturday & Sunday.

Camping is available from friday night - People this is Leitrim..Warmth is the key word here! There is limited indoor space available, the team get beds and what remains is for those who NEED it not WANT it...
Please contact us if you require indoor space.

A meal will be provided for those arriving friday night. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner will be Provided Saturday & Sunday.
Monday is fend for yourself morning as the team are usually past their sell by date at this time!
**Please notify us if you have special dietry requirements or any food allergies**
(Sean there will be dumplings but it doesnt come under this requirement!)
Also can each person bring their own eating bowl/plate/utensils...

Unfortunately this event does not cater for children *sorry*

As you can imagine this wkd costs an arm and a leg to run...The Training Wkd is non-profit. We do not charge a set amount however we ask that each person makes a donation towards costs!!

This is our Home we ask that it is treated with respect...as always!
Cant wait to seeing you all (ooohhh the excitement!)....

I can certainly testify to both the need for warmth and the hospitality!

Thats a dose of hypothermia I want no involvement in. :o

Should be a great weekend, thanks again to Nicky and Fran for offering up their home and hospitality to us lunatics.

I've got plenty of cider and mead brewing already so when the sun sets and the weapons are put away we can all wave goodbye to our livers.
