Elizabeth fort Finale Sun 13th Oct

This sunday comming is the last weekend in a series of events centred in the fort ove rthe last 6 weeks . We hope to finish out now in a multi period - multi group show involving all those who participated in the last few weeks .

We will have Irish War of Independence ,Flying column , Tans etc , WW1 Great War , Imperial German (new) and A large Roman contingent from our very own Romans Ireland present , Early Celtic display and foods of the period , Red coats and many more .

Anyone wishing to join the show can contact myself or Emmet Kennedy by pm or e mail re booking in .

We wish to finish this round of events on a high after the last few weekes of great public shows . We have entered into a new contract for 3 more special shows before Christmas in the fort with a Christmas market running also .

Sunday 13th Oct from 12 noon to about 5 pm .

sounds like it has been a great success - requests for more is always a good sign!

Just make sure to stay away from the Glubwein(sp?) at the market (though if that is not possible I hear that a shot of rum really makes the difference ;))

Glühwein, well, that's the reason actually you go the the "Weihnachtsmarkt" in Germany! :D

The one with Rum is the Swedish (or general Scandinavian ) variation, its called Glögg (more here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mulled_wine )
That brings memories back to me, when I was at a Scandinavian Studies faculty Christmas party, they had made huge amounts of this very very very dangerous stuff. :mrgreen:

EDIT: yeah, looking forward to meet some guys at the Finale grade ;) at Sunday. Is it really on the 11th of October?
