Here's our group in costume, for the Movie Your Highness, waiting in the costume tent.

I'm sure many members here are involved in this movie too.

I know, it would have been a much more interesting photo if we'd kept the likes of our Sympnonie, Bagpipes, Dulcimer, Harp, Memling, Recorder, Shawm, Lute, Drums etc etc nearby, for the shot. ;)

On a related note(pun acknowledged but not intended), where is it possible to get pics/facsimile of historic music? - I do a bit of calligraphy and it always struck me as something that could be cool to do - they have some in Chester Beatty Library, but I obviously cant photo it

Brendan, other than this kind of thing on Google I'm afraid I wouldn't know.

It always looks very elegant & I'm sure would be satisfying to produce.

Brendan...

Here is a site that has a buttload of links of interest in the way of early music.

http://www.pbm.com/~lindahl/music.html

On this page, under the heading "On With The Show" and then "Primary & Secondary Sources on the Web" under that, there site that have photos of early sheet music books. For example:

http://www.undoulxregard.org/wolfenbutt ... uttel.html

This isn't music of Ireland, though, but still examples of calligraphy in early sheet music.

Very cool stuff.
