Calling Them Home 2009

Postby The Pards on Fri Jul 17, 2009 11:38 pm

Greeting, :D

Just a quick reminder to all that 'Calling Them Home 2009' will be going ahead on the 12th/13th September this year. This will be our 8th year to hold the event. It will be again held at the OPW site at Charles Fort, outside Kinsale and is a multi-period event.

We look forward to having another fun and entertaining weekend at the site and would be delighted to welcome new groups or individuals to our event. If anyone is interested in attending please feel free to contact us throught this thread.

We are trying to arrange food for the Saturday night, so we could do with a idea of numbers? 3, 30 or 300 we dont care once everyone enjoys themselves! Because we certainly will!!

You will be assured of a warm and friendly welcome. :D
Fight the Good Fight!

Hi guys,
Is there much room for a medieval/viking tradeswoman? Was toying with the idea of going along but in order to make it viable I was wondereing were there many early groups going that would be interested in the likes of myself?
Everything from buckles to bucklers, boots and blacksmithing gear and lots of helmets from Roman through to C16th. All the stuff is replica or LH acceptable and of course I sell in costume from a period style tent, pavilion, vik trader or large square trader tent. Would you let me know if this might be a good event for me and of course whether it would be acceptable to trade.

Much thanks
