Faddan More Psalter question

Postby Seathrun on Tue Jun 28, 2011 1:23 am

My daughter is wanting to make a version of this book. The question is, does the leather wrap around the pages and button on the front with what looks like 3 buttons?
Thanks

Yes the leather cover overlaps and the front has 3 chunkyish buttons on it

there are probably some good images on the net

they have a replica on display at the museum alongside the real thing, let me see if I can work out some dimensions for you... I'll pop in tomorrow.
I am off active duty for 2009 & 2010. I continue to research but will be attending few if any shows for these two years. I got some chickens and hope to bring them along with a more fully rounded household display in 2011.

don't make me blush!

didn't manage to work out dimensions but I will, looking for an excuse to buy the book they've produced on it anyway! The buttons are horn and about an inch in diameter. As I say I'll get you more precise dimensions on Tuesday.
