Thanks , we kept it to 4 men to each of the WW2 stands , just to give out information and let the modellers photograph and get close ups of detail , they dont miss a thing when it comes to detail those guys , thankfully all concerned passed with flying colours .
Our thanks to the president and secretary for the invite to attend this pretigious event in Dublin Castle on behalf of the Munsyer Military Vehicle and Reenactmetn Group ( BGS , Wargroup , Romans Ireland , Tuatha De Barra , Celtic Combat warriors )

On another note the quality of modelling there was unbelievable , immense patience needed for it and it beats me how they even judged the competition , each model display and diarama was so perfect , congratulations to all those guys who won fine trophies there , well earned

Is that Noel I see wearing Roman Kit? Jaysus you realy love playing the villian, Auxies, WW2 German and Romans! O.K. I have seen you doing Flying column but some people still consider them villans as well!

Any way seriously lads the kit looks great. Hope the weather stays good for ye the June weekend. Im working so I cant attend any shows. But I look forward to battling Noel again in whatever guise we turn up in.

Well you DID sample the W-SS for the gig in Germany, so logically, sampling the Legion would be the next step, but be careful, you may find yourself "Crossing the Rubicon" so to speak.

I see that a model of your weapons carrier won a gold medal in the modelling competition, cannot beat classy gear! The guy who made it (cannot remember his name) deserved the prize, exquisite piece of work. Never ceases to amaze me the amount of effort enthusiasts will put into getting the detail correct. The Society are no different, they are experts on their chosed subjects and I am proud to say that we passed their critical examination which all goes well for next year. Thanks guys, it was a blast!

Generally the Castle gig was an unusuaI one, 75% of the people who visited our stands were overseas visitors, literally from around the world. As you say, after they had spoked to us, their comments showed that they fully appreciated what W-SS Grenadiers, Panzertruppe and WH Generalmajor were doing in the hallowed surroundings of "the Lower Castle Yard" on a sunny Sunday afternoon.

A final comment and a first, perhaps, we met a former Iraqi soldier who insisted that that the whole family had a picture taken with the Axis group. 8-) Your guys were out of favour as he had fought against the US in the First Gulf War. and Awe!

it was keith donnelly from wagroup who made the model of my old wc62

he made me take a load of detail photos before he stated to make it, he was also over it taken measurements etc. he put a lot of time and work into it so it was great to see his hard work paid off.

the best part is i get to see it and take it home at duncannon :D

yes ive sampled various guises over the years and have a couple of changes of uniforms in the wardrobe one more wont hurt me(as long as the wife dont know :D
