There are a few talks being held all around county Laois through the library service. I'm displaying in 3 and Micheal Moylan is displaying in another 3 I think and there's a lecture WW1 being held in the french church in Portarlington on thursday the 27th hosted by Mr. David Orford. If anyone is able to make to any of these events please by all means you'd be very welcome.

Congrats for doing the nice event, was not there for a long time, but have seen the whole hanging thing and a bit of explanation, in which I was highly interested (I was near the Irish guys during the explanations), especially because my knowledge about this period is quite limited.
You had really luck with the weather, good timing with the sun, in the end still a good bunch of visitors.

Just an idea: Why not using the big speakers and a microphone next time for the explanation? Its was fine with "voice-only" for the show, but still I think it would be great if more people could have heard the interesting stuff you explained.
And yeah: try to grin less... especially when u are shot, die or get hung

No, really nice presentation, enjoyed it, just wondered about the fact, that the crowd wanted the poor Irish lad to be hung...

it looks like the mob mentality!the crowd always like a good hganging...some things will never change no matter how civilised we like to think ourselves in the modern age..good hanging though!
