Thanks for the heads up guys, really looking forward to seeing you all at Duncannon in a few weeks time.
Just noticed, everyone started their post with "Hey Joe" sounds like your all singing a Jimi Hendrix song
I'll try to get more guys from both the ww2 experience and SG Nord on here, I'm sure they could benefit from mingling with fellow re-enactors from different specialist era's and impressions. I've found through talking to various people on this forum, that no matter what group you belong to and no matter your chosen impression or time period, we all face the same problems within re-enactment, where do we get this made? how many members will turn out for this show? etc. We might not understand why a person dresses up as a Roman, a Viking or a ww2 German soldier but we all have a common bond, a love for what we do and a love of history. All I can say is, Respect other groups, respect other re-enactors, this is the ethos of the WW2 Experience.
Mike B, great to hear from you Kamerade, your doing outstanding stuff with the FJR6 impression, keep up the good work, it's great to see a different ww2 German impression growing in Ireland away from the popular 1st -SS- LAH that the rest of us do

though! when all the Leibstandarte re-enactors from the four corners of Ireland get togather, it looks damned impressive, Downpatrick 2007, Duncannon 2008

and great to be apart of.
Zip! I don't know who you are at the moment

you would not happen to be my very good friend from Cork with the same first name as me ,who I gave my very first pair of jack boots to as a gesture of friendship at the Downpatrick show?
See you all soon and many thanks for your kind words and support,
Joe.
