Hi James,

what periods are you interested in?

I live in Dublin. But I am involved with two international groups. one re-enacting Napoleonic French Chasseurs of the 9eme legere and the other one being French Zouaves from 1832 to 1915 including the American Civil War, Crimean War, etc. up to world war 1.

if you want more info let me know.

We're in East Clare (Mountshannon & Feakle) and Limerick City & County. The Mountshannon cell are 1 hour and 15 from Galway.

Aislinn form Cork's 'friends' showed an interest in getting involved this weekend, on visiting us at Craggaunowen ( ) and are in the Galway area. Perhaps you could all hook up. We'd be happy to induct you and/or help you set up your own group. Galway needs something pre- black powder going on!

(Edit in of a 'g'. Thanks Bill)

Welcome to the forum :)

I'm a neighbour in Roscommon, and a member of Faol Lia; which is a multi period group based just the far side of Carrick on Shannon.

There's an event in Tulsk in LESS THAN 2 WEEKS  :? (not that I'm nervous or anything) you can check it out here:
Heritage Centre Blog
Facebook Events page
Living History Post

Might give you a taste of all this without having to travel too far, there's not many events in the North West :)
