Hello all!

It has been a long while since I've been on these forums.

Today I am posting just to let some of you know of an experience that is being organised by a Battlefields tour company in Edinburgh to mark the 100th year anniverseray of hte Christmas Truce.
It entails a tour to the actual site the truce took place, including carol services in the trenches, and a recreation of the football game that took place on Christmas day.

All details are provided in teh link below:

What is this arcane nonsense supposed to mean? A sneer of some sort? Make your point or get off the forum.

I believe what nerve has done is make an in-joke public. He's not being insensitive or crass and the in joke refees to myself and tso friends when we were in the roman ggroup.it has no relation to any form if Russian mimilitary of the 20thc

Michael,

What's your problem? My remarks were directed at Freebeard who is an old friend I haven't seen in a long time and I was recalling an old joke. If you have a problem with me take it up directly with me and we'll sort it out.

Martin.

Right, all I wanted to do was to inform some of modern era Reenactors about what sounds like a great tour to celebrate the 1914 christmas Truce.

Aindrias and Martin,

Sorry: I misunderstood. I missed the "in-joke" that the postings constituted. I have no "problem" at all now that the misunderstanding has been resolved. Any hostility that might have manifested in my posting was elicited by mistaken perception of hostility to what originally had been posted.

I have bookmarked your attachment and may well find myself in Belgium next Christmas--might meet you there!

Cordially,

Michael.

It's ok Michael, a complete misunderstanding is all. And I wasn't being hostile in my repllies, merely stating what was going on

Thanks Michael,

Now Freebeard, where are you these days? Poor little Sasha is missing you? Seriously though, Alex was just talking about you the other day, what are you up to?

Martin.
