that's good to hear! from what i've seen [particularly at rockingham] there are plenty of women in the ranks but individually it can be hard to tell if there is an embargo on girls in a certain group, or if there just happen to be none who fancy the military stuff, or if there are just no female members in general.

Seriously though there is a role for everyone in the Napoleonic period. There was a Dutch couple with the artillery this year who had a tiny little kreel cart lined with sheepskin for their toddler. I think he and his mum covered more of the battlefield than anyone.
