Claíomh - in keeping with Kilkenny's historical claim to be Ireland's 'other capital' - portrayed Irish Confederate and Royalist troops of the 1640's at Kilkenny Castle for the launch of Heritage Week 2008. Thanks are due to hosts Montague Heritage Services for organising a very successful and enjoyable event at a fantastic location. Only problem being that Al was the only one to not get his ration of sambo's : (

Cool looking kit Swifty, especially the weapons. I like the dog. Great pictures. Post some more on your gallery page. Might need you for some training sessions soon. Be in touch. Kevin.

Thanks Kevin : ) The dog was an unexpected surprise. Babysitting without notice so to speak. Will post up the pics + extras when I get more than one second free! Sláinte.

Dave,

I've said it once, and I'll say it again, you lads know what your doing and do things right! Great photos and it looks from the images that you had a great program! Cheers!

I had the same thing happen to me at Bristol Ren Faire in 2007: I'm doing Irish and as I walk down to my favorite pond to give a toast to my lost son...there's an Irish Wolf Hound there that my little wife could have ridden as a horse! I posed with him for photographs for the public (and myself, but mine did not turn out.) The owner got a big kick that I was doing an Irish Living History impression, which is not very common heare in the US.
